FAQ's

 

1: Does Railroad Ranch have a ceremony site? Yes. You have the choice of the outdoor garden setting or our Covered Pavilion.

 

2: Does the indoor facility have air conditioning and heating? Absolutely, we will keep the Ballroom at a very comfortable temperature for your event.

 

3: How long do we get use of Railroad Ranch on the day of our event? Doors open at 11 AM and the event ends at 11:15 PM

 

4: Does Railroad Ranch have dressing rooms? Yes, we have a brides suite and a grooms rooms, each with there own restrooms.

 

5: Does Railroad have overnight accommodations? No, but hotels are nearby in Austin, Elgin, Manor or Bastrop.

 

6: In case of inclement weather, can the ceremony be moved to the Main Ballroom? Absolutely, we can move the ceremony to the Main Ballroom as we are always prepared for unpredictable weather.

 

7: How far in advance should we reserve a date for our event? Events are booked according to availability, if the date is available, any party can reserve it. However, keep in mind that events are booked well in advance. Please check with event sales representatives for open dates.

 

8: Where do our guests park? Parking lots are in designated areas with the exception to handicapped guests.

 

9: What is provided at the ceremony site? Chairs and Arch

 

10: Do you provide tables, chairs, and linens for the reception hall? Tables and chairs only. Linens are available for an additional charge please consult with your event sales representative.

 

11: Can we decorate the venue how we choose? Yes, but there are some limitations for example glitter and sand are not allowed. Also candles packages for your reception must be from Railroad Ranch (Please check with event sales representative about pricing), and nails in the wall are not allowed.

 

12: Are pets allowed? If approved by event sales staff for ceremony only or if there is a medical need for the pet. Otherwise, no pets are allowed.

 

13: Are fireworks allowed? No, Only Sparklers are allowed at the end of the wedding.

 

14: Can we take engagement or bridal pictures at Railroad Ranch before our wedding date? Yes. Please schedule your photo shoot with your event sales representative.

 

15: Can alcohol be served at Railroad Ranch? Yes, We will provide TABC licensed bartender(s) at an additional cost. ‘BYOB’ is permitted as long as all alcohol is immediately placed at the bar and subsequently served by the bartender. Alcohol that is not served by a bartender is not permitted at Railroad Ranch.

 

16: Do we have to use Railroad Ranch's preferred vendors? No, but with one exception–the bar tending and security. Although we highly recommend our vendors you can choose whomever you feel most comfortable with otherwise.

 

17: What is the payment schedule for reserving a date at Railroad Ranch? A non-refundable deposit of the contract amount is required to hold a reservation for the specified date of the contracted event. The remaining balance will be set up on a payment chart. Please note that we can work with you to create a custom payment schedule to help you out, please contact your event sales representative to coordinate payment plan.
